Did you grow up with a family garden and enjoy the fresh produce, but now you don’t have the time or ability to grow your own now? Tired of buying “fresh” produce from the grocery store and having no idea where it came from or how fresh it really is?
We have a solution for these problems. Our CSA program allows you to access to farm fresh produce every week from a local farm that you can trust. All of our produce is picked at the peak of freshness and delivered directly to the pickup location for you.
The CSA program pairs you with a local farmer in the community. This program allows a direct connection between the farm, your food and you. With the CSA program you purchase shares of our farms next season’s harvest in advance.
Throughout the full season we raise a variety of fruits and vegetables that will be included in your CSA basket. Some of these vegetables can include strawberries, cabbage, romaine lettuce, broccoli, tomatoes, potatoes, summer and fall squash, cucumbers, green beans, corn, and many others.
Of course we do everything we can to ensure our crops success, but unfortunately Mother Nature does not always cooperate with our plans and we may experience a crop failure due to a variety of reasons. In the event of this circumstance, your CSA basket will still be filled, but you may receive more of the other fruits and vegetables we grow.
Our ultimate goal is to bring you closer to your food and your community, while accommodating your lifestyle.
Seasonal Breakdown of our Vegetables
Spring CSA introduces the bountiful season with fresh strawberries, kale, turnip greens, Romaine lettuce, Swiss chard, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and spinach. All crops that thrive in the crisp spring air and last through the months of April and May.
Summer CSA begins he kick off of all the sweet southern veggies we’ve all grown up with; yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, potatoes, peppers, green beans, onions, melons and of course corn and tomatoes.
Fall CSA begins the wrap up of our season with some cooler loving crops; kale, turnip greens, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, pumpkins, acorn squash, cabbage, and lettuce. All of those colorful veggies that look and taste great at Thanksgiving dinner.
CSA Share Breakdown
We offer a variety of size and payment options to help accommodate your lifestyle. Each share will be a weekly delivery containing between 6 to 10 fresh vegetables of the season. The amounts of each vegetable will vary depending on the size of the share you select. Baskets will vary weekly depending on the vegetables that are ready to harvest that week.
Are you wondering if the CSA program is right for you or your family? Are you a family of one who enjoys fresh vegetables? Maybe you and your family have a busy schedule, but you enjoy having fresh vegetables with dinner when you get the chance to sit down together. If any of these fit your situation then this CSA basket would be perfect for you. A quarter share CSA basket consists of enough fresh season vegetables to fill a quarter bushel basket. This is enough food to feed 1 to 2 people and is delivered weekly.
Do you have a small family? Do you struggle to get your family to eat healthy but would like some fresh vegetables in their diet? This basket would perfect for you!
